Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Are you mentally ready for the office?

I think all our discussions about how unnecessary it is to demand that people return to the office are in vain. From the first day I started working from home, I was aware that sooner or later I would have to RTO. So I'm mentally ready for the office.
What will happen, I guess, is that after this long break, the RTO will serve as an awakening for many who want to find work elsewhere. Only after returning to the office will it become clear how toxic this place really is...

Still nobody in the office. 3 people on my side of floor. 1 for every 30 or more seats. Wonder when they will enforce rto.

The push to RTO is what made me realize it’s time to leave. Especially where most other companies offer flexibility.

RTO was just one of many reasons I left BofA (stagnation, daily fire drills, multiple increases in assignments/responsibilities without additional compensation to match). At the new company for a month now, and I'm slowly adjusting to the realization that work can actually be enjoyable, slower paced, and not filled with anxious thoughts about what is going to break next. Oh and RTO has been pushed to summer of 2022 with C-level executives advising post-RTO will be hybrid.

Grass is greener on the other side.

I'm hoping to quit before RTO. Have a few interviews for full remote positions this week and next. For anyone else considering looking, do it!

RTO is to force vaxx and get you to quit.

My buddy at PNC investments (portfolio manager) was advised they will work from their homes forever. If you need a place to meet clients sign up for a conference room, but otherwise they will not be renewing leases for a ton of employees...come on BM...

The whole point of RTO is to drive up attrition as part of a cost cutting move. It’s no different than the initiative to end MyWork a handful of years ago. It’s all about the almighty dollar above all else.
