A subset of board members are dissatisfied with the pace of the IT effort to automate manual processes. Look for a new CIO in 2022.

Something I learned decades ago: never automate a process as it is, streamline it first THEN automate it. Not the case here...
Yes the board just approved a new punch card reader
Shouldn't it be up to the BUSINESS to drive the automation of business processes by defining and funding projects?
IT has made great progress standardizing their platforms and automating build and deploy process. Far from complete but WAY ahead of where we were a few years ago.
Unfortunately the Board is just as clueless as the EC! Hence the dismal failure of the whole place!
The board should be dissatisfied with with the entire EC.
Maybe we should get rid of more IT employees and hire amateurs to do the needful.
I'm wondering when the CEO and the EC get automated as what we heard all these years was always the same. It doesn't seem to be a complex algorithm to get replicated.
EQE to the rescue!
They have been trying for at least 15 years to do so. They started to automate the end to end process of onboarding a new deal in Corporate Trust beginning in 2008 or so and at the time of my retirement in 2018 it still wasn’t completed for a multitude of reasons. It was disheartening to see the amount of people, time and money dedicated to try and fit the process into old antiquated H-BNY systems.
