Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Anyone in HR aware if hybrid is coming?

Hearing a rumor, wondering if it’s true for next year.

They are definitely discussing flexible work arrangements but it will likely be on the LOB level and dependent on your role.

Doubt that BofA will make any official hybrid policy company wide though, but they should.

No hybrid. But lots of other companies are offering WFH.

They said in one of the most recent meetings that BofA maintains their whole "we are better when we are connected" physically stuck in an office because they want people to have personal connections with their peers not just work related. So no, hybrid is not even being considered at all. In other news, if this helps anyone, Apple is postponing their RTO indefinitely, they were planning to come back on 2/1/2022, but reconsidered and gave their employees $1k for assistance with setting up their work spot at home, kind of like what MyWork used to do back in the days in BofA - yes we actually used to have a program for working remotely.

Also, NO, you won't get fired for taking a medical leave (short term, long term or intermittent), as long as you make sure to follow up with all paperwork required and stay within the guidelines of your leave. And NO, you won't get fired for requesting medical accommodations, again just make sure you follow up with all paperwork and information needed. Managers have no saying in this at all, if a manager is giving you issues for requesting any of the above please report that to Advise and Counsel - and NO you won't get fired for that either. People here who are saying otherwise just don't want other people to feel comfortable speaking up, and to those I am truly sorry you feel that way and thank you for being part of the team, not.

So many dummies out there. Listen its clear as day, your fired if you don't show. You want to play games with your manager go right ahead, just remember they love playing games too. HR works for them and don't forget it.

Nope, you're either going back or fired, enjoy. You can play the medical game, but good luck getting a bonus and be prepared for a serious amount of extra work to come your way to regret the idea ever coming to mind. Also if you go out on a medical leave they obviously won't tell you straight out by kiss your career good bye.
