Tell us something good related to your job that happened in the last year. All we hear about - rightfully - are the bad things, let's change that just for a moment.

It took the pandemic and WFH to realize how much out of balance my schedule had become and a manager change to understand how rough the job can be if you don’t have mutual respect. Leveraging my network, landed a new role at a competitor that truly appreciates hard work and integrity. Also ended securing full time WFH and significant pay increase. I am truly grateful for the amazing people that I had an opportunity to work with during my +10 year career at the firm.
So comments about not having to smell curry remains, but comments by Indians rebutting that comment are removed. Just shows that the moderators in this site are in bed with BoA and as racists as its employees. But that's okay, we Indians will rule all the American employees and get rid of them when time comes. Thankful for that.
Have a supportive direct manager, grateful for that
I was laid off in August - easily the best thing to happen this year and definitely the best thing to happen in my time at BoA
I'm thankful that I do not work for that jackazz manager who admitted here that he wouls make things difficult for people with disabilities, but would hide the real reason. My manager was supportive and acknowledged that disabled people can perform at high level without him breathing down our necks.
My kids were able to attend Marching Band Camp to get them ready for their competitions. They were both able attend summer school and get to know students in their high school. We got quality time as a family.
Thankful i don't have to work with a non diverse team anymore. An all Indian team isn't diversity. I left because of that nepotism and HR looking the other way. Mgr would help folks who are Indian and ensuring everyone else is frustrated enough to leave. His plan did work...now team is nearly 100% Indian males from specific part of India and specific cast system. Way to go BofA...you are indirectly supporting this as long as you get to import cheap labor and get rid of Americans under "talent shortage" banner...gimme a break!!
Leaving after almost two decades for higher pay on a more supportive and connected team. Fully remote.
Working from home has been the best part of my year, helping to alleviate additional additional anxiety and stress.
Worked from home for nearly two years thanks to COVID. Happiest I have been with this bank. When they pushed my RTO. I pushed myself to work for a lesser known company for 23% more pay and full remote work. I'm so thankful for the bank for pushing me out. I start after new year!
Work from home from my rented cottage in the Barbados. View of the beach and beautiful women in their swimsuits from my porch "office" while WFH. Down with RTO!
I’m so very thankful to Bank of America that the level of chaos, mismanagement, career abuse and stagnant pay forced me out. I’m now in a better place earning 27% more. Thank you BAC!!!!
I’m thankful for my coworkers, large and small, I have made some great memories over my tenure.
Sure, some bad apples along the way, but that’s life right, you learn to navigate the waters through experience.
This business is not perfect, but I’m not sure a perfect jab / I mean job exists. We are all flawed and sinful people.
I hope all of you, wherever in this great America live, have a great Christmas & a Happy New Year
For what it’s worth, I love ya friend and wish you peace.
Be careful telling this site what makes you happy, they’ll either delete it or take it away as a perk. Like if you really like WFH, they will not want to offer that because they want you miserable.
So I mentioned Jesus Christ, in my comment about positive things and Christmas which is the only reason we even have Christmas to celebrate and the comment gets deleted?
Wow.
Good luck to you, you’re gonna need it.
Working from home for me = not spending 2 hours on the freeway 5 days a week, healthier work-life balance, more time with family, more patience, less anxiety, overall better mental health, saving money on gas… happiest I’ve been in the almost 15 years I’ve been at B of A.
On vacation!
Working from home.
Overworked and underpaid over here so nothing else positive to add.
Working from home
My team completed what is probably the biggest release we have ever done and we did it with no fall out....at all. It was all remote and all highly collaborative. So proud of the team.
Happy Saturnalia folks
I worked from home, that was good. Happiest I've been in my 12 years with the bank.
Yes, I know this is not on topic, but I'm hoping that in the spirit of the season the mods will leave it up.
