Greed has been steering this ship for years. Until that changes, we'll continue to be treated like a cost to be cut and not an asset. And that's why so many employees don't care anymore and will continue to give their minimum. If going above and beyond is not appreciated, why bother?

So what you're saying is ... greed is not good?
The topic is greed, not DEI inculcation.
But whose greed is it? We are here to serve our owners…..those directly and indirectly holding equity positions in BK. We are part of a big machine in a complicated system. We are here to deliver value.
Once that stops, it is time to move on.

Saying that it’s greed is too simple and lazy. It doesn’t really get you closer to understanding a more intricate picture of reality. In my experience, it’s an amazing case study of highly concentrated individuals displaying traits of what is known in psychology as the dark triad. The term “Dark Triad” refers to a trio of negative personality traits—narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. These traits of which are mostly pronounced in the management. If you watch long enough and with a sufficient amount of attention you will find it nothing less than shocking and almost an entertaining display of disdainful and illogical human behavior. They appear to create and put in motion initiatives that are clearly self destructive to the whole of the business. It appears to me that the self destructive behavior of management comes from the self delusional mental gymnastics needed to sustain the traits of the dark triad. I will continue to watch with popcorn in hand and an open mind as to how dark these creations can become.
