Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

While entering reviews...

I have two question.

1 - while we are entering our reviews, if we put Meet/Meet and the manager thinks that the person deserve Exceed/Exceed, do they change it ? or they just keep it M/M

2 - If a person enters Exceed/Exceed but his accomplishments are less than another person in team who has entered his as Meet/Meet. will that person (who entered E/E) will have more chances of getting higher raise/bonus ?

I always put E/E on my ratings every single time, and I’m always given “strong” M/M. It’s just BS.

M/E. Received same bonus I have gotten for 5 years though the Bank had record profits, and though my rating has varied from M/M to E/M to M/E. Asked manager why I received an exceeds and Bank saw record profits, but I didn't get record bonus. Manager said that the only way that bonus could change was if there was a significantly large bonus pool or if he was to "knock someone else down". I took that to mean that the manager gets a pool and just wants to distribute the money around to the whole team without really rewarding those who crush. Obviously this would vary manager to manager. Maybe if you crush you get 500 to 1000 more than those who didn't crush.

This company is a total joke. I would have never thought this company was this disorganized. I mean from the stupid azz ratings system of meets/exceeds to the RTO agenda. I am ashamed to admit I work in this shlithole. I can't wait until something else better comes along. Some of these empty suit mofos that are leaders you can't learn a damn thing from. They are just there because they know some one or kiss a-s to get there. These mofos didn't get there on Intelligence. I am not even going to talk about the smoothie throwing racist leader that was fired recently. This is where we are today at the SHLITHOLE OF AMERICA.

Like others have said, the ratings are all for show. You can put E/E as they already have a predetermined rating for you, and that's just so they can rank you. You are being evaluated against your peers so even if you get a M/M, you can still end up with nothing. The bank has a set number of E/E they can give, so even if let's say 5 members on a team all did amazing work, not all can get E/E nor will all get a good, or any, raise and bonus. If you want both, learn to be buddy buddy with leadership.

This ratings of M/M and E/M is just another example of this azz backwards company. The rating are fixed because you can only have a certain percentage of people in each category.

It’s all BS the ratings. 20+ years at BAC, and it’s literally just for show. Doesn’t matter if you’re M/M or E/E or any combo of the 2.
