What WILL the first day back at the office be like? Massive line at the turnstiles while the "guards" check to see if you have proof of vaccination?

So glad to have left this awful place. Pity those of you still there. Brush up those resumes! Get the heck out if you can/want to!

First level managers will not have a say, so be nice to your manager.

anyone read the FAQ document? It states right in there between point 17-25, they expect RTO to be 3 days a week and Tues, Wed, Thurs. So much like everything the exec's do and say is BS - such as it is up to your manager.

These exec's are just like the politicians telling everyone to wear a mask but don't wear one themselves or leave their locked down state to vacation in free states like FLA

Now back to constant chatter and interruptions all in the name of “collaboration”.

The random date of the 7th was likely chosen because making it the 1st of the month would probably cause strain depending on what LOB you are in. Everyone knows there will be access issues off the bat when going back, and gives a cushion so no one can blame missing month end deadlines on RTO happening at a more busy time.

No @1xav+1f7Z3GBh. In fact, I have no issues with working, while also performing at a high level, and regardless of my location. So why must it be in an office that for the record my boss is not located. To sit in a sterile room/space, in the name of collaboration? No thanks

You sound angry after binging Netflix for 3+ years and counting.

Do you ever think about earning your paycheck?

They committed to giving 30 days notice prior to RTO - promises kept...right? But clearly today's announcement had been earmarked for quite some time, so why not announce Jan 1, or even last year? Joke of a leadership.

Who picks the 7 th of the month? Picked because it was just under 2 years. Normal process would be to pick something like April 1 st. But no, we get the 7th. What’s the rationale behind the 7 th other than it’s a week short of two years?

Almost makes you think the manager can decide what works best for their team.. But we all know that BNYM managers can not manage. It's easier for them to follow someone else's lead.... We'll be back 5 days a week before summer. Pathetic..

Inflation is at 7 percent, so if your annual increase is less than 7 percent then you are actually accepting a pay reduction for an employer that does not put a high value on flexibility or accommodating employees.

The grumpy lady in the cafeteria must have known something we didn't months ago- she said "they'll all be back in March"--! No joke.

I know a few ladies who are genuinely terrified of the prospect of interacting with people again. I wonder what they are going to do?

I am fully vaccinated and boosted, yet I know several who aren't AND said they won't be...so what happens then? Also- I think a lot of people will still work from home: a) can stay in your pajamas; b) no commute to and from; c) if you have kids, no daycare; d) can go people-free :)

They put a nice little catch phrase to it and think it all makes sense..... the lemmings will go around restating the phrase over and over again

with increased gas and paying to park or ride a bus (which has also increased) and what I am sure will be a pitiful raise - my take home pay will be reduced yet AGAIN....
