Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

I still haven't heard anything about layoffs

Since I still haven't heard any new rumors about cuts, I guess that means there won't be any soon? I hope so anyway.

Given my age, I no longer feel a desirable employee here and I definitely intend to leave. Still, I’d rather go on my own than have WFM show me the door.

Lots of FC/AC's were just basically laid off. They had to fight for the fewer positions, some of the others were able to find other jobs and some had to leave. In-stocks end goal will be to reduce the buyer positions down to 1 per team or fewer. That won't be for awhile because the g-n data has to be accurate and that just isn't possible when no one can work backstock or do accurate PM cycle counts because we have no labor.

Wfm leadership have cracked theirs skullz to just fire 1 tl.
Try harder you have to rehire me after a lawsuit. Guess what it is like after? Keep store process coming you only hurt your regional president rep and regional leadership with those negative comps nc.

WHO IS LEFT TO LAYOFF? seriously. only jaded leadership is left along with old timers that have no where else to go. the kids they hire dont plan on even staying long enough to deal with any 'layoffs' lol

TL's used to be on salary back in the 90s..im an ol timer here...they took them off so that they could make sure tl's were taking days off but also to monitor how effectively they were finishing tasks in given time frames...this may have been one of a.c. gallos first maneuvers....i dont think they are gonna be laying off people anytime soon as seeing how some stores are having a hard time even getting bodies to apply...the moving of amazon shoppers to wfm employess is a way for them to fill spots...

I can see them shifting TLs to salary before laying any off. There is too little bench strength to replace them and still expect those all important metrics to be achieved.

Team leaders making 38.50??? come on the layoffs are coming soon! Some of these TLs at Amazon fresh start at 18.50 so you connect the dots
