I sometimes wonder if people who keep claiming that BNY is not as bad as we're making it out to be have ever worked anywhere else but here. You really can't have experienced work somewhere else and claim with a straight face that BNY is fine. Honestly. Even if we disregard the pay and benefits, which are abysmal, the culture is so toxic that it is causing people to develop mental health issues. That is not fine! If you think that's normal, I feel sorry for you.

I have worked for a good amount of companies and have a long tenure at a few. BNY Mellon is by far the worse company I have ever worked for. So glad I left.
What is a squid game?
@abq+1fVyyWBW. You’ve got that right. Its by far the most sexist, racist, religious and politically intolerant bank, or really any company, for which I’ve worked. Woke DEI has always historically been called intolerance, and this is intolerance.
My wife was a manager and she was always miserable and unhappy during the work week. She finally left last year for a better job. She is so much happier that even her friends have noticed the difference in her. BNY is an awful place to work for many reasons and nothing will change. The funny thing is that there are at least 10 former BNY employees at her new company and they all say the same thing about how much happier they are!
You might work a while at a bank or two with some of our issues, sure. But there is no other bank with all of our issues, the sheet severity of the toxic environment and the lack of any credible business plan.
This is the worst managed bank period.
I like it here
The toxic people here always make you feel you don't deserve something or you should not be happy. Be depressed ,sad all the time ,cut each other throats in competition. It is like Squid Game.I wonder if VIP's are betting on you or remotely watching your every move in a corner.
I find the constant pushing of agendas very disingenuous. Pushing pronouns, race, and gender identity constantly. It's meant to divide people and make people feel victimized or as a criminal. BNY seems closely aligned with the WEF goals, which are not good for humanity.
