"Invited" to office with medical accommodation

I got a medical accommodation to WFH indefinitely approved. It doesn't say I'm "Mywork" but HR sent an email late last year. I'm physically unable to go to the office due to legitimate medical reasons.

Today I got an email from employee communication on RTO by end of April.

Is this another mail blast or targeted? It says I will be getting further details.

Did anyone receive as well?

I'm rather sure you can ignore the email. I asked my manager if I needed to resubmit for WFH. Clear answer, no need to refile your case. If your condition is covered under the ADA or your condition and reasonable accommodations are backed by your physician, you are good. I got the same email yesterday.

Dr told me he wasn't going to give me a mental health accomodation...said covid is way down and recommended looking for another job, quit or retire from the bank..

Two things to the topic.

  1. I was told by my case worker I'm not going back into the office untill I hear from my case manager.
  1. While I have a medical accommodation to continue to WFH indefinitely everybody's reasons are different. Call HR ask for the accommodation form then have your doctor fill it out and return to HR.

Good Luck

can I ask, if you are open to sharing since this is an anonymous site - can you share what type of medical disabilities you have that indefinite was approved? I also am on a short term medical accommodation but need to look into longer term. I have an autoimmune disorder and am immune compromised.

In terms of your question, I would ignore it as those are usually blasted to everyone. You can always follow up with the medical accommodations team to confirm.

All the RTO notices and our building has less than 25% full. It is truly laughable.

Looks like that blast email was sent out in error.

Just ignore it. If you are questioned (doubtful), you have your paperwork (which is all they apparently care about anyway). (certainly not our safety, well being or happiness)

I do not have medical accommodation and am ignoring their so-called "invitations".

With so many leaving every day, they need us more than we need them at this point.

At this point, they are simply embarrassing themselves.

I also have a medical accommodation to WFH indefinitely but have not received any communication about return.
