Two years earlier, my colleagues who are now very vocal against returning to the office, didn't want to work from home and complained about the energy costs of working from home. My conclusion is that people just have a hard time changing habits. That's exactly what keeps most of them in this company. Just my 0.02 cents.

I think the OP is confusing some stories floating around out there on CNN or CNBC
There no way (for most people) it cost more to stay at home utility wise etc then commuting given the distances most of us have to commute
(Excepting tractor 🚜 boy and his ilk , if course).
@mpl, even then it's almost always easier to sit at your own desk and share screens.
Who cares about collaborating or interacting with these people at work? I don't like any of them and everyone is out for themselves anyway. I want to work from home.

Literally nobody has ever said something that stupid. WFH is an incredible financial bonus for anyone. Gas and parking alone was a $4,0000 savings a year. Now it would be $6,000 due to Brandon’s energy policy.
Don't forget the savings on parking!

I’m sorry but I don’t believe you. Unless you were new at the job and needed to watch your coworkers screens and shadow, I can’t imagine anyone wanting to waste time and money on a commute when they could do it all from home.
