The produce tl in my store didn't even lift a finger to help in his floral dept. And store leadership did nothing about it.

Yes be prepared for Mother's day. If your TL is slacking at that time discuss it with your store leadership.

Floral is a sub-team of produce. It's literally the biggest day of the year for the produce TL.
Is he a tl that helps his team on the sales floor or does he prefer to sit in the office all day?
Unless the floral dept is suddenly displaying artichokes or broccoli, how is that his problem?
