Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Unappreciated

Feeling undervalued, unappreciated, unsupported and inhuman. Feels like I’m in a bad relationship where you give 100% and realize you aren’t getting anything back and never will. It’s time to leave.
Wish I could do bare minimum to get by… and suck up to management. That’s the only way to survive in an Amazon world.
But I care too much and work too hard and I just can’t waste my energy and talent on a company who does not give a sh-t about their employees, the environment, their customers …. Things have changed so much in the last 6 years. This company is going to sh-t. Time to save and free myself. Should have listened to you all a long time ago. It’s a burning ship.

Several astl and tl’s left after they found out they hired astl’s at almost topped out salaries and newly promoted tl’s making $20+ per hour only got 5% at the start of fastl and 5% more upon completion.Brand new stl’s hired from outside at $115k outside astl’s at 99k I get why people leave they value their skills and self respect more.Store leadership, regional and global are tied to their phones on their time off so the quality of life is almost non existent. Thank the regional & global teams for this.

a bunch of people (mostly vets) were fired from my store for time theft because of the time clock being down.... i really think the company did that on purpose to replace higher paid employees with minimum wage kids. thats how low i think of this company

front end and prepared food teams are meat grinders....i was on front end for years and people are treated bad through the "open availability" scheduling or those kronos made 4 hours shifts(what if you take public transportation and it takes you 1 hour to and fro-you spent 2 hours on a bus to work 4 hours???wtf) the lack of stools for pregnant team members,improper training and lets not the genius of theft-the self checkout lanes...prepared foods cant hire enough people at the 15$ when the competition has finally stepped up in the restaurants now paying similar wages.and in many restaurants ive worked in they feed the cooks to keep them happy..ol mackeys farm wont give its own cooks a break meal...they really need to hear different input and dialogue at regional and global...the corporate think and corporate speak have limited their thinking. and please some accountability for regional sc--w ups which are plenty..

Just find one of the principle designers of this failure and thank them for watching it collapse around them on all sides. They are easy to pick out. Look for the $12 coffee in one hand and an iphone 26 in the other with a different pair of sneakers for every day of the year on a team that is a mirror of reflection of the fairest of them all. For some reason we chose to grind this gravy train to a halt rather than share the scraps w TMs we cannot identify w but at the same time we are celebrating exclusion to the tune of going out to of business. Hard to imagine that sexism, discrimination, illegal firings and racism hasn't served us better ...wonder why we insist on this mono culture

I would leave this company it does not reward long time team members and it pays new hires more on purpose to get rid of the long time team members.
Wfm only promotes the same people at regional and global along with their minions right under them.they team members “hyper trained “ team members for minimum wage.you will end up working other teams and have responsibilities dropped on you lap by store leadership which you never signed up for or got a pay increase for it. The salaries do not keep up with inflation and most team members live in someones home renting a room barely scrapping by talk about salaries amongst other team members and see for yourself. Wfm has the most toxic regional and global teams in the industry that still have not figured out how to hold their regional and global teams accountable but at store level it was severely increased . It’s a horrible place I advice all team members to not waste their time here.
