Not looking forward to "people"-ing again

As an essential in-office worker, the thought of seeing people again fills me with dread LOL. These past two years have felt like a vacation at work (in the building). Don't take that the wrong way- oh, trust me: I have worked my tail off. I am just not looking forward to all the brown nosers, the phonies, the posing, preening, etc. Can the people stay home for good LOL?

If people really wanted to be back in the office they could have went back in September. No one wants to hear the office chatter and have to pretend to care about your family or what you did over the weekend. I’m personally just going to start just waiting away from people if they engage with me. I’m not paid to listen to office bu-----t or give a sh-t about your feelings. he-l I might bring in a baby gate to put at the front of my cubicle so people don’t even come in.

I concur. I’m not looking forward to this at all. I’m able to get my job done without disruption at home. Now back to time wasted commuting & being in office with people asking what you did last weekend, what you’re doing this weekend, how your lunch looks etc etc etc….

I would just keep my head down. Limit your interactions if you must do as at all.

Believe me, just the same as you don't want to see us, we don't want to see you either. Please, do everything in your power to remain at home.

I can't wait to see how fat you got, clip your nails & eat stinky food at your desk, pass gas, hear your obnoxious conversations, destroy the bathrooms and interrupt me while I'm in the middle of something.

Huge “same here.” I have learned one important rule after 30-plus years of working: no one is your friend and don’t be fooled into thinking that someone really is. At the end of the day, everyone is looking out for number one.

I agree. I prefer cats to people.
