March 1st 2022 Resignation Thread

The lame bonus (if any) will be deposited into your accounts Monday 2/28/22.

Tuesday March 1st is freedom day!

The day upon which your resignation notice can be delivered, with pure satisfaction. Whether it be 2 weeks, 30 days, 60 days, Tuesday is the day!

Post here how . . . when . . . where (Teams call with a drink in hand?) you plan on giving your notice. Best of luck to all!

Resigned as I said I would with no notice. They can keep their 10 cent bonus. Was there for a year and have had it. Had an exit interview. Gave very objective and constructive critiques. Sad that they will only use this information to only further protect themselves and to continue to squeeze everyone left for more because management is being hammered from above.
BNY, where they squeeze their employees. Like trying to get water from a stone that has no more to give.

Well I gave my 2 weeks notice this morning. It did not go over well to say the least. Don't know why my manager was so shocked. But the best is when he complained about only giving 2 weeks (which fits in my level requirement). So I asked him how much notice would I get if I was getting let go. Total silence. March 15 is my last day!

“And for two, me as a mgr agrees”.

Remedial English or “file” an admin/proofreader req.

@2txt, the openings won't come for months. HR couldn't even manage mailing out belongings but you think they can approve openings in 24 hours?

@2eea+1ftXuDsK - use your head cause I’m sure you can figure out the word was meant to be fill. And for two, me as a mgr agrees. We cannot fill reqs now and the requirement to be vaccinated will make that situation far worse

I am thinking more than 6 will leave. It’s all venting and bravado.

I’ll bet less than 15 even leave haha! How will we even know for sure if anyone left? A lot of keyboard warriors talk a good game, but I’ll bet 99 percent will still stay with BNY.

This post is nonsensical in the extreme. Why would they “reduce candidates in order to film reqs by by require vaccinations” and what the heck does that even mean? Why would anyone film reqs?

Have you earned a G.E.D. yet?

I will be resigning on Tuesday as well. Like others, I will call my manager first, and then follow up with an official notice letter through email.

Not at all, but there could be less displacements in the coming months depending upon how many employees help us out with our reduction efforts.

So I guess Wednesday there will be a ton of openings at the bank????

People already started leaving at the drop of this announcement a few weeks ago. They know we’re severely short staffed, they just reduced candidates to film reqs by require vaccinations and they already noted they don’t care cause they decided we go back in office . Why? Cause surrounding banks in ny have been back in office . Yeah awesome reason to put people at risk

There are probably only a handful of people who are really going to quit.

I'm all set for Tuesday, will be a Teams call with an email follow up with the limited necessary "I quit" wording.

I am getting a bonus but for those who are getting no bonus no need to give any notice if the choose to. Still eligible for COBRA too if they choose to keep their current healthcare.
