Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Are there going to be more layoffs any time soon?

I'm desperate to leave and walking away with severance would be ideal in my book.

I'd say that once you hit your late 40s, and are approaching age 50-55, your days are numbered. The bank doesn't place any value on experience. They're more interested in hiring young workers who will work for less pay even if though they don't have the requisite knowledge or skill sets developed yet. You reap what you sow.

I waited for nearly a year during most of 2020 and it didn’t happen. If you are a good employee they will work your a-s to death and keep piling it on. Move on if you’re under 40 (job market is tough over 40). BOA only lays off people over 60 or the people that managers rate low on a quarterly basis. Yes, managers rate their employees quarterly and sometimes it’s simply a personality conflict that gets the low rating. Anyway if you are waiting, it won’t happen that is Murphy’s law.

Should just fire the vaccinated: they're the ones who would not wear masks and be more careless since they're (not) thinking the vaccines protect them from CV19 and not transmit them. In other words, bunch of mindless sheeples. Then again, y'all work for BoA: Brainless of America.

I would actually prefer the layoff at this point if they’re offering severance. I would take some time off and then Look for another job. There are plenty out there to choose from since there’s a labor shortage for most industries.
