Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Are they even going to come out with hybrid?

LOB keeps telling us to be patient and that hybrid is coming, but waiting for the enterprise to make a move first. Is this for real? Does anyone have any insight as to if hybrid is really coming?

@yww+1g6tb5m9 Most people are leaving. You must be one of those people who wears a mask alone in the car while driving along with worshipping Fauci

Yes, hybrid work has been approved. Work 5 days in the office, and work from home evenings, nights, and weekends.

“ If they say the vax works. I don’t want to be tested twice a week and wear a mask all day.”

Did they tell you where the exit door is?

Agree if we are truly going back to pre pandemic. Why does it matter who is vax or not? If they say the vax works. I don’t want to be tested twice a week and wear a mask all day. . Not any different than putting us in a different building.

I just got the RTO email to come back on May 4th. I will be getting a medical accommodation until I find a new job because they want those of us who chose not to get the vaccine to wear a mask at all times and also get tested twice a week. It makes zero sense. If everyone is vaccinated and if the vaccine works why does it matter if others aren’t vaccinated? Why not just let us stay home then?! Unfortunately, I don’t believe a hybrid is coming. I don’t trust this place at all. It’s time for me to get out of here. There’s too many old farts in upper management that love getting their butts kissed and that’s why they don’t like work from home because no one is there to stroke their egos and fluff them up. They need to feel important and have their minions around them at all times.

I also love how they keep talking about how being back in the office is helpful for collaboration. In my group we don’t collaborate on anything! We have a certain amount of tasks to complete and that’s it. There is literally zero collaboration unless of course you count the useless team meetings we have that accomplish nothing and could have literally been an email. It’s time for us as employees to stick it to them and find other jobs. Lastly, good luck to them trying to hire talent when they aren’t competitive in the market with their salary or with benefits.

Jamie Dimon just announced that 40% of JPM Chase employees will be in a hybrid model. And we know what happens when Jamie Dimon endorses something.

Once competitors start implementing a hybrid model it will come here too or they’ll lose lots of people

Someone said collectively we do hold the power and that is so true. Continue to post out and leave for better because we all do deserve better. Let’s show this corporation and all the others our voices does matter. We don’t buy into their narrative and we’re not politicians. We’re moms and dads and wfh allows us to be better parents and in turn happier and more productive employees.

No, I don't believe a hybrid will ever happen. If a hybrid were going to be considered, it would have been implemented by now. The hybrid myth is just a way to get folks to stay quiet about RTO in hopes that eventually the 5 day a week expectation will be dropped to 3 or 4 days a week. I wish this wasn't the case because it means a loss of talent but at this point, it's pretty obvious the bank lied and it's not coming.

I would venture to say that hybrid is not coming anytime soon.

Look at what the bank has done throughout this pandemic. Back in September they continued with their RTO plan, despite the fact that the Delta variant was wrecking havoc on the country and our competitors were pushing back their RTO dates and plans.

Our CEO has continued to state we’re a work from office company. Leadership has used poorly written talking points to convey the “benefits” of working in the office and collaborating in person.

The bank has lost outstanding talent due to the Great Resignation - and even after likely privately acknowledging this, they continue with their RTO push.

Employees’ requests and questions about hybrid continue to be ignored or dismissed.

Sadly I just don’t see BofA coming out with a hybrid plan. It has never been part of their strategy because it does not align with what the shareholders and our politicians want. They are hoping we all just accept RTO and be quiet, despite the fact that collectively we hold significant power and could likely force the hybrid issue if we all stood firm on this reasonable ask.
