Maybe at one point it did but not anymore. You know what they say, you get what you give. Since BNY Mellon has been giving me the least it could get away with lately, that’s what I’ll be giving back from now on. I’ll be spending the rest of my time looking for a new job.

It does leads to a career slide… ; doesn't matter to me. I have saved enough money in my portfolios to live like average American for next 20 year. This job is just bonus effort for my bank account. When you have enough savings to live, who cares?
I can’t argue your choice. But just be aware that if you allow the bank to change you, you may not ever be able to turn it back on. You may already be past that point. It does leads to a career slide… best to give your best effort IMHO.
They give me a job and low paycheck in return. So I give my lowest performance in return. I like it this way.
Ha. The bar has been raised? Not really. These otherwise junior/nothing managers may expect more, but they lead like toddlers. The bar has been lowered from that angle.
They give you a job and paycheck in return. The bar has been raised and expectations are much higher. No need to complain.
Same here. I’ve already started my search. They keep piling on work and give nothing in return.
