Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Unethical Crooks

When they saved money by reduced office space, did they pass on any of those savings to employees? Of course not. 'That is OUR money.' However, if you are based at home in an area far away from any city, they want to adjust your pay accordingly. Jaw-dropping hypocrisy.

They are the epitome of corporate greed and unrepentant unethical behavior.

They also have the temerity to leverage your sense of ethics and 'supporting the team', when they would let you go at the drop of a hat. Your evenings and weekends mean nothing to them.

@5lsh, some people think they're ethical when they openly claim they're entitled to a "fair share" of other's wealth via the IRS.

@2egf, lots of offices have been closed such as East Syracuse with employees either being fired or forced to commute 40 miles to Oriskany.
With all this consolidation, we're going to have a lot of fun during our next hurricane or 9/11 attack. But if we can make a quick buck today, that's all that matters to our EC.

The vast bulk of the cost of the buildings continues regardless of whether 1 person is in or 4,0000 are in daily. These facilities are a major cost and there is nothing to pass back to you nor should their be. The taxes real estate taxes alone would boggle your mind.

And you do get an appropriate part of it if you choose to receive BK stock in the 401K.

In what reality do you live where cutting corporate expenses (reducing office space) results in it being "your money". Last I looked, it belonged to the shareholders. And salary was always based on location. It's why the folks in India make a fraction of what US employees earn. Cost of living.
