Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

How does it feel to be in a cubicle...

and using your computer to attend the same webex meetings as you did from home? Feeling angry? Frustrated? Sad? Helpless? I love my job, but I wanted to resign immediately.

I’m working from my backyard today. Sun is shining. Birds are chirping.

I love WFH.

No cube for mwah.

@3vwi+1g9i33vj You mean you'll be FH forever once BoA gets rid of you. You work for the bank, not the other way around.

Do you have to provide covid positive test?

What cube ? I just tell them every two weeks I have Covid.

I’ll be WFH forever. Play the workplace you have with their rules.

I LOVE cubicles. Nice, high-walled cubicles with overhead storage between you and your neighbors, like it used to be. I don't want to see you across from me, and smell your onion or coffee breath... nor have you smell mine :D
I don't want to hear everyone yapping all day since we had to turn the white noise generators down to where they are barely effective if at all. Just put walls between us again. Or let us stay home, which is the option I've chosen.

Don’t worry….a job will be the least of your worries in the not so distant future.

a cube would be an upgrade in my RTO world. In an open workspace configuration, 3 ft of open air between me and my neighbor. it sucks. mask on all day. at the end of the day its a job so i must get paid for my family to enjoy their life style so i put my head down and do it. prefer WFH obviously but i put on my big boy pants and just do it until something better comes along.

At least the crucible is a painless and faster death.

Don't really care at this point. Was in the March wave to RTO and didn't because I was already lining up some permanent roles. Giving my notice in a week to go permanently WFH, get a pay increase for the base, and actual RSUs that are significant in value and not the measly BS that we got this year. This place is going to continue to hemorrhage good talent, and not be able to replace it with someone that's remotely decent to the level of the individual that left. I've already seen 5 people leave in the last 2 weeks, and solid rumors that there's more to come. Obviously a rumor but there's more than just a few folks that are unhappy of RTO, the way in which the bank has managed to blatantly lie with these ridiculous emails, and their manipulated surveys that are completely bias. Godspeed everyone and wish you all the best of luck.

I’m still WFH. I’m not comfortable coming into office with the unvaccinated.

It’s just a job. Sucks at either location. Yeah, I’d rather be wfh but that is not how it is going to be. So I’m just accepting it and focusing on other more positive aspects of my life. A job is just a job. I’ll probably eventually find a hybrid position but I’m not going to lose my sh!t over it or get upset. Life s#cks sometimes. Just gotta make some positive plans and stay hopeful.
