Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Happy mothers day to all the moms forced to RTO w bad or no childcare options

Many mothers forced to rto only to have the same zoom meetings they have done at house for 2 years...not mothers trying to not pay for childcare but mothers who cannot find care due to staffing or rising hourly costs for baby sitter (pre-covid $10-15 an hour to more like $20 to$25issues from pandemic...b4 saying bac helps w childcare they can help find daycares for toddlers or younger but nothing for 5 yo plus....

My parents decided to have multiple children they both worked and they both made a low blue collar job salary yet they made it work just fine. Why are these b of a employees making high salaries so hooked on getting hand outs or why are they looking for accommodations? If you can’t manage don’t have kids. Its that simple. No one owes you anything just because you decided to have kids.

If you look at reasons to overturn roe vs wade they specifically mention the supply of children and economics...they are needed to make economies go...companies should make it easier to have and take care of then if they want to continue long term

Im so tired of hearing parents complain about this. No one obligated you to have children. Its like society is forced to support parents and their kids why? I don’t know. No one owes you anything for having kids. If you decided to have children figure it out!

Amen! Still have to deal with waiting lists.. and limited options for school-aged kids. Not all kids can be home alone after school, so what can we do other than quit if after school programs all over town are either at capacity or too expensive to reasonably afford now?! I hate that they try to act like the bank benefits are really actually helpful… not to mention, any “benefit” ki--s us at tax time- pretty sure the bank actually benefits the most.

The high cost of daycare has been an issue for decades, not 2 years. Work-life balance was an issue before the bank “forced” people to RTO.

Agree the childcare assistance is not available in all areas. And there is a cap on how many slots are available. So either quit trying to sell it as a one size fits all or offer the assistance with all daycares not a selected few.
