Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

When did working here become just means to an end for you?

This company lacks leadership. It has no solid plan for anything. They seem to make it up as they go. They don’t care about us because they can replace us in a heart beat even if it’s just a warm body in a seat. All of these executives making decisions are not affected by any of these crisis. They sit at home or in their office thinking of how much more they can make our lives miserable and then say they care.
If they dare send out a survey, rate every question low or don’t fill it out. What’s the point anymore. Every year we complete the stupid survey and nothing is done about our concerns. Seems pointless to me. Do they really neee us to fill out a survey to know how much they absolutely suck as a company. They’re entitled elitists! They’re uncaring and insensitive to our needs. We’re all just a number they pretend to care about. Working at BOA is literally just a paycheck. No one should aspire to be loyal or stay with this company because they will never be loyal back much less care. They’ve gotten too big and have lost sight of perspective.

Post ID @1yet+1gFk5aFj. Someone gave a great explanation as to why most of the loyal and very engaged employees who loved working here are now demoralized to a point where they work only for paycheck.

Years ago after seeing hundreds of associates laid off through out the years.

After 12 years with the bank, and working from home the last 2+ years, the notice from HR to RTO was the final straw. I told them I wasn't coming back, today is my last day.

Kind of funny! I saw this post and wondered why it sounded like mine not realizing it was until I read the bottom.,

It became a means to an end for me when they started pushing RTO and the workload got to be too much because all of my experienced colleagues left and they were replaced with people who don’t have the skillset to do the job. I’m burnt out and depression started to set in. That was my breaking point and my realization that this job I loved so much I now look at as a paycheck. Actively posting and hopefully God hears my prayers and get me out of here soon. Can’t take this much longer.

The reason why a lot of employees are not motivated is the horrible pay that BOA say is decent. This company needs to give every employee a cost of living raise. There was a company several years ago that gave all of there employees a minimum salary of 75k a year. This company saw increase in employees work performance. Employees were happier with their lives and felt less stress. If this fuhking CEO can give his blockhead azz a 31 million dollar raise he can damn sure give his employees a decent salary increase.
