Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Rejoining after quitting

People usually exaggerate when they list the bad things at NY Mellon or any other workplace for that matter. There are some, of course, but nowhere is it ideal. After six years here, I decided to make a big change and try something a little different.
Whatever you may think about it, I would love to leave open the possibility that I can come back here if I wish so one day. So I wonder how open is BNY Mellon to rehiring employees who once quit?

Wow @OP. You need a shot of self confidence. Give the move a year, and if it’s not a dream job move again. It is typical for someone just starting out to move every few years for a decade or so. How do you know what you’re looking for if you’re not giving yourself an opportunity for new situations.

The fact you're already thinking about coming back when you haven't left yet means you will likely fail at your new venture.

BNY Felon is like being in an abusive relationship. Leave and don't look back. Set the bridge on fire.
