Does anyone have a title that doesn’t match what they do and do you know why that is?

yes. i've addressed it with my boss. he acknowledged that he's working on it along with several others in our team.
Data Engineer II working in a role that used to be covered by a Software Engineer III. My skills and work experience is awkward, so this is kind of OK but yes, I am misalingled.
they need to fit you in a bucket for what you get paid but also need to do just enough to make you feel like a special snowflake. what you have is the merger of the two.
How about title FCM and role is teller because employees don't want to go to work and leadership doesn't want to hire.
