I'm a little nostalgic

I plan to give notice by the end of the month. I'm becoming a little nostalgic.

anything pre 2003 was golden....after that its been a long slow bleed out....if you were lucky enough to be around in the 90s you remember how good it could be...

Yep. Hand drawn chalk signs everywhere. Fully staffed stores with marketing, signmakers, demo specialist, local forager, fresh juice bar baggers, concierge, healthy eating specialist, constant demos and sampling, kids events, senior events, live music, happy faces.

15 years and recently laid off. In the last 3 years, our stores have gotten so bad I was embarrassed to tell people I worked for this company. Didn’t want my name associated with the cheap gross frozen cafeteria food we sell

I'm reminded of them regularly when I see how awful things are now.

Congratulations on getting out of that prison.
