Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Incompetent managers

It is so difficult to work under a manager that is not competent or knowledgeable in their position here. I have seen managers promoted who weren't experienced enough . This company consistently does this and people see it here all the time. I am not a bitter person. I just want to work and learn from my manager. It is so difficult to work for somebody that you know more than and know the job better than them. BOA is an azz backwards company.

@euy+1g8PF2LS tells it like it is. This is what happens when wrong people are put in management positions for wrong reasons.

I heard from my boss that they hired a new manager for the IT area. Incidents and outages had to be spelled out d-mbed down in lay terms with no acronyms. IT is nothing but acronyms. CICS, IMS, DB2. How does a guy who knows nothing about IT become the manager.

Actually most of the managers did not come from Countrywide. These managers have been with the bank for years. And STILL don’t know what they are doing. Just putting lipstick on a pig.

Do you feel you know your job better than your manager, or their job better than they do? I would really hope you know your job better than they do, but if you feel you know their job better then they do then I really wonder how much of their job responsibilities you are truly aware of.
