Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Stress levels are off the charts

It was never a joy working here but with RTO, layoffs, and micromanagement I've had to deal with since my old manager quit (Dale, come back, we all miss you!), my stress levels have gone through the roof. I think this is their way of getting rid of employees without severance - create an unbearable work environment and wait for people to break under pressure and leave. It's working, at least when it comes to me.

The difference between the layoffs 10 years ago and the ones now are that 10 years ago the bank got rid of poor performers and employees who were not a good fit. Today the best talent and the water walkers are leaving and the new hires are quite frankly no where near doing a even a quarter of the work of the person that left. Not just my team but see it over the fence as well

Sorry this is happening to you. It’s sad but true that the world is pretty much spiraling into an abysmal pit. Everywhere you look the age old core issues of man (poverty, sickness, inhuman behaviors, etc.) is not only still here but worse than ever before. Employment is no different. Someone may think unionizing is the only way. But unions have been here for a long time and still the core issues of treatment of employees is still an issue. Proven by looking at the auto industry.
I hope things improve for you personally. But its hard and going to get harder before it gets better. And when it does get batter it will not be the result of a political or commercial endeavor. It won’t come from collective human efforts. It can only come from a higher power.
