Sheesh, click on the insider transactions link and you'll see @6sec is talking out his a$$ about Todd selling stock above $60.
Wow is this really true? That doesn’t sound like our shared values. Oh wait… didn’t we change them from “Doing what’s right” to outperformance?
Todd cashed out a bunch in the low $50 range before it went above $60.
The only reason it hit 64 was because the geniuses at the top decided to buy back over four billion. Im sure Todd cashed out after the buy backs when it was pumped up from it.
@5ujq got three downvotes for stating facts??? Sure are some people on here blinded by hate.
Who said BK is a growth stock? The Chief "Growth" Officer?
@5ruc,
I bought a bunch in 2008 when we went below $20.
It pays a dividend that's generally greater than inflection.
You can buy at 10x earnings instead of 30x to 120x if you went for apple, amazon or Tesla.
I'm sure we'll see the price jump when we find out Todds view on R vs W.
Outside of stock options, can anyone actually explain why they would hold BK stock?
That chart reminds me of the Flatliner movie except that it never gets back. It’s exciting to briefly almost get back to where we were in 1988 after a long roller coaster ride up and down and up and down and up and down and… but I’ll save that for the amusement parks.
Hopefully you’re locked into options or not allowed to sell or something because at least there would be a reason for it. But going sideways for 35 years and counting is crazy.
@3tvm, um, I'm not sure where you've been, but we hit $64.63 just a few months ago. That's more than 10% above 2008's peak. Of course we've tanked since then even though profits are up still.
At least they paid a dividend so we got a little something back.
hahahaha - growth stock! The two appear under the list of antonyms - BNY - Growth!
I was lucky and landed in Costa Rica. I run a bakery and apply various glazes to donuts and pastries.
Seems that the second & last peak was in 2008. I sold right about then after meeting and becoming familiar with our new management chain. Best timing that I’ve ever had in the market, but this move was sorta obvious. Honestly though it was far longer and deeper that I could ever have expected.
