Orange Ear Plugs

The Merrill office in Hopewell NJ is just plain rotten, though I like my team a lot. The myth of “coming back to the office to collaborate and hear each other on the phones” really gets busted when you stand up and see the sea of orange ear plugs my co workers are using to block out the noise from other workers. The fact that I’m no where near my team is also a fun little myth buster as well. We’ve had ONE hour since May 18th to be in the same room to collaborate. Any chance to make small talk ends in a bi--h session about being in the office. I’m blown away by how silly this whole situation is.

@1exl+1h2xSMn2 I said I support polluting our planet? Honestly you are going off the deep end here as there was nothing in regards to that in my statement. What I stated is you make zero valid points in your post when it comes to not working in the office.

Also I know you drive places, including for leisure. If you are worried about polluting start by getting solar panels for your home, powerwalls and an electric car. Additionally take all vacations locally (no flying) and grow all of your own fruits and vegetables. Ensure any meat you eat you have personally raised, make your own clothes and never use anything with plastic. Do these things and perhaps I will believe you are not the hypocrite you appear to be in your post.

It must be very sad to not have a life and feel like you have to struggle for some corporate to feel some sense of self worth. You should try meditating or doing some volunteer work, value yourself a bit more. The rest of us have an actual life and enjoy working where we are comfortable, no one is going to pay you more for struggling on a day by day, we get paid for doing our job and that is what we are doing, the numbers say it. So you can keep struggling or not, your choice. We give zero f.... ☺

@upu+1h2xSMn2 - so all the hype about saving the planet is b.s. and you hypocritcally support 200,000+ people polluting our planet twice a day commuting. What a corporate shill. Oh! and the b.s. about supporting our local communities, which is EXACTLY what I do when I WFH.

Mo--ns. Talking out both sides of their mouths and a$$es.

Sorry but the major catastrophe they are talking about in the economy has nothing to do with people being home and not working. I am guessing gas prices, food prices and everything else inflated is because people are WFH?

To add, orange ear plugs, seriously? I’ve also seen posts where people say they can’t work in the office because the lights are too bright and they get a headache. What a bunch of whiny brats. BOA needs to do like Tesla….return to office or resign. Most major banks are talking of a catastrophic economy coming like we’ve never seen in our lifetimes. It’s because no one is working they are at home napping! Yeah lights will be bright if you actually have to come out from under the cover and work. 🙄

You have some valid points, but this post comes off pretty entitled. Nothing you posted provides a justification not to be in the office.
