Is there a B5 cap

Anyone know the cap range for b5 roles? I was excluded from this past round of increases by a few hundred dollars. Trying to understand if there is still good compensation growth if I look for other B5 opportunities rather then staying narrows at B4.

On HR connect under workplace there used to be a deck on band salary ranges. I can’t seem to find it anymore and now it says “Job bands don’t determine pay”, which we all know it definitely used to…..

Varies by line of business and role - very sizeable differences in B5s who are in support roles vs. front line client-facing.

There is always a range. Unless you came in higher from another area or external higher, HR makes it pretty much impossible for a manager to increase over the top end of the range for the specific role without a significant change in scope/responsibility (e.g. going from individual contributor to managing a team).

I transferred in from another area and was told I was "over the range", and experienced small "haircuts" over 3 years until they could get my base "in line with others on the team".

So I moved to a different role to get my comp back.

it depends on the Area. GBAM Tech NY Band5 VP is 175 Base as of late.

No cap, but the role will determine how far your salary can increase.

No cap. Most ML advisors including those making over $1 million are Band 5s
