Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

I would take a pay cut just to move on

If I could find a remote job that pays 20 or even 30 percent less than I get here, I wouldn't think twice about accepting it. I was ready to leave before the pandemic due to the toxic work environment and being overworked, but once we started working from home things changed enough for the better that I changed my mind. Now we're on our way back to where we were and I have no plans to stick around for it. I just wish I started searching sooner when there were more remote work options available.

We already underpaid by working here. So you will instantly get that pay increase when you leave here.

Do not unnecessarily sell yourself short - you're probably already underpaid just by working here. You need to do what is right for you.

I don’t know what you do, or how much you make but there are several banks that are offering remote positions. Discover is one and I believe Citibank and Bancorp all offer remote work. They may be more entry level so again not sure this is even an option.
