Thought I was going to get the axe. Got a promotion and nice raise instead. Gotta love this place. Slacking wit the best of them & now I am management. Love this place. Absolute craziness.

This place is filled with lazy, incompetent, dismissive, trifling, ignorant and selfish managers. You will definitely fit in with them ba----ds. I hope you feel good about this sad accomplishment at this shlithole.
The bank pretty much just played you like a su---r by promoting you. Eventually you will be layed off from that position. If you were surprised by your promotion then you were just a fill in until that position is over. Good luck with that situation.

In times of layoffs, certain number of people in management has to be part of layoffs. Sometimes people get promoted to management are set up to get laid off to protect others in management. At least that person gets to leave with a title that will get him better chances at getting re-hired elsewhere.
