Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

The truth

So with all of the paranoia and false reports of evil Todd’s layoffs we are down only 3,090 from our high of 54,000, or 6% over the last 4 years. And this includes job security over the pandemic.

We should all be feeling very good about our job security right now but no, it’s still constant unjustified paranoia.

I know many don't like this, but what @1jqj+1h7G43hd wrote is the truth.

@3bnm, I was in IT and Todd fired me on 1/11/2021 along with three IT workers I sat next to and 80 others in our division.

Is this Todd’s Don that keeps posting this all over the forum?

Only feel good about job security if you are in I T or the Client Service side. If you are in ops, that's a whole different story.

Tell that to the 800 employees how used to work in the Syracuse office that we closed. Or the hundreds of operations people in Oriskany that were canned when their jobs were moved to India.

The Truth? You can’t handle the truth!

It really is inarguable simple basic math. Your group of 20 to 30 is .06% (.0006) at best. There are so many clerical workers that cannot visualize the Bank beyond their aisle, and sadly, many of them actually hold degrees.

There have not been serious layoffs for over 5 years and the Bank has been a secure and steady job through a horrible period.

There are many real reasons to hate working here but there is no reason to make things up.

This got to be the most misleading and ridiculous post of the year. These CEO clowns were in fact quite evil in laying off tons of people in the US and replacing with people overseas. Sure, in my group we have the 'same' 30 people headcount as 10 years ago --- only then it was 30 in NYC. Since then, about 20 of the 30 got laid off, replaced mostly with India, a few in Poland.

This must have been posted by some troll or management.
