Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Since RTO, how many are still happy to be working here?

The people I talk to are hating their jobs and can't wait to leave. I'm in the same position. WFH changed everything for me. I realized how much I was losing and how little I was gaining by going to the office. For two years, I did my job with a smile on my face. Now, I'm once again hating it with all my heart. Even more than before, knowing all the things I'm losing. I'm now curious how many of us feel the same way?

I don’t know a soul happy to be back in the office full time. Even those that don’t hate it would prefer some flexibility.

Our office is in an area where commuting an hr to work each way is the norm, and parking is $300 a month.

It’s despicable of bofa to enforce RTO when they had no drop off in productivity. In fact people worked more and were happier for it.

Personally, I don't mind working in the office, as long as I have the complete freedom and flexibility to WFH as well when I need to. There are days when it is better for me to stay at home and others when I need to be in the office. What I don't know is how willing the bank is to grant these benefits to its staff, even though the work never stops getting done regardless of the location I am.

I prefer to work from home, but going back into the office isn't so bad. I do, however, want some sort of cost of living or compensation for the current inflation to counterbalance the costs of high gas prices / expensive cafeteria food / etc while working out of the office. To me, the compensation is the missing piece.

It's also concerning to see so many key leadership positions going to friends instead of people who have the knowledge, work ethic, value their employees and have made personal sacrifices to help their teams, and the enterprise, succeed.

I feel the same way and everyone that has voiced their opinion to me also feels the same way.

There are some people that I haven’t asked but just from observing their demeanor when they were WFH to when they RTO, I’d say they also prefer WFH whether or not they know it.

Lots of grumpy, annoyed attitudes at work for sure. But Brain Moynihan and BofA couldn’t care less.
