Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Ready to be ignored?

Culture compass is coming don't bother responding nobody cares about what you have to say. Let's make this year the lowest participation rate so global can't brag about how many people responded. Your opinion means nothing to them and your response will be just as effective as praying nobody is listening.

Keep the numbers low no reason for the people up top to know anything about us. They don't care the only worry they have is if the workers unite and unionize. They do not have our best interest in mind come together and show them.

Spread the word don't respond to this nonsense. Your opinion means nothing to them the illusion of concern only matters. This process is meant to see if you have the desire to unionize. The higher ups fear a Union because it would cause problems for them. Make them suffer it is what they deserve for the poor treatment of the employees who bring in all the money for this soulless coperation. Your STL are not your friend feel no sympathy for them they would sell you down the river in a heartbeat if it meant more money for themselves.

Don’t forget, you have to use your tm number to respond to the survey.
AS IF they aren’t keeping track of responses

I think no response at all would be more effective. If a negative response is posted that means the TM thinks the opinion they express is valued. If TM refuse to hit the number global wants it think that would send a better message.

Hello?! It's a Union heatmapping tool.

The more negative culture compass responses, the more that store becomes considered "Pro-union threat" and will be monitored closely.

Fun experiment: Get every TM at your store to express strong dissatisfaction at your store; then watch the regional backpack fatties fly in from HQ's...It's fun for the whole family

You could just type something up in Word then just delete it once you have finished it would have the impact as responding to the survey. The whole point of the survey is to have the illusion of concern that the people who drank the Kool aid believe that the opinions they have matter to anyone at global. NOBODY cares at coperate about the people at store level you are just mindless drones that push product to line the pockets of the sc-m that run this company.

I like to respond and tear the company apart and mock the tone deaf actions the previous culture survey led to. "We hear that communication and morale in the store's is extremely poor...let's bring back all store meetings!" No.one.ever.wants.all.store. meetings. When Whole Foods was a better place to work all store meetings were the single biggest hit to morale. Having to come in at 6 a.m. for a two hour meeting that could have been an email on your day off or worse you have to come back later to close. Being forced to clap at every stupid thing. Luckily every single one of our meetings were cancelled since last years survey but when we talk about morale we are talking about better pay, better insurance, more labor, and not being held accountable for in-stock errors that have nothing to do with our performance. Communication from global is the worst. They keep changing SOP without telling anyone. Do real things to improve morale. Don't pretend you don't know how to make Whole Foods a better place to work.

Spread the word to your fellow TMs do not respond. The whole point of this is to make it seem like corporate cares about the people working in stores. Don't get guilted in by leadership saying they need to hit a percentage. If they try to strong arm you say you no and if they retaliate get a lawyer.

i remember back in the early 2000s when we did the leadership surveys and there was actual accountability of some kind...we had an ASTL that everybody in the store just loathed...when the survey came, the whole store dogged him out....they used to have to put up an action plan of how they were going to improve their performance and team mentality right next to the time clock....you think our current cadres of yes men, cowering in the office, clinging onto those salary wages(while not getting their hands dirty ever) will have the ba--s to put their names onto paper....

If they retaliate get a lawyer make some money and change jobs. Don't take sh-t from leadership treat them like the sc-m they are.
