You must know the type: he or she is always right, no matter what. It doesn't matter if their "solution" will harm the bank and/or the client, they'll do their thing because nobody can be smarter than they are. How the he-l do you deal with a manager like this? How do you get around him without putting a target on your back?

i had a mgr like that, my solution was to get the fxxk out of her team. you can only change what you can control, if you can't get rid of her, get yourself out of the situation.
My manager is like that, he only trusts his own ppl and doesn’t care about the risk. Bank will melt down in the near future. No tech, no talents, toxic management and culture.
A lot of these people definitely don’t have friends that’s why we get all hands calls where they flaunt their nice vacations cuz they don’t have friends to share that with
I haven’t had a manager that actually knew stuff in years, always cramming learning the process right before an audit
And these incompetent managers hire and promote incompetent employees.
Sadly they are in every facet of the organization. I work in GIS and when I was talking to a manager about something and provided facts that contradicted their version of things, they just said, "well..." and moved on. I honestly can't wait for these a-hats to be re-org'd to someplace else.
I was told during my mid year not to question instructions from superiors. I laughed and said OK, who's actually responsible for the process I built and own????
It's how they run their family life too. They got no real friends, all superficial. Only reponds to money and hiw much they can get out of a person. Their own kids, relatives, are terrified and hate them. For example N A in Charlotte. What a c u next tuesday. And she thinks everyone loves her. Delusional and sociopathic, No sense of self-awarenes.
I see these type of managers all the time. They try and make their job more than what it is.I have seen so many managers that think they are so smart but they are so fking d-mb. They only got the job because they either kiss azzz or they are just d-mb so they can't threaten their immediate managers job. This bank has a lot of incompetent mofos and I am not kidding. I have worked at other places and the management knew their shlit and you respected their leadership. This place is just the opposite.
At BofA, unfortunately, they all seem like that. Seems to be encouraged, starting at the top. (all the ones in the Top roles - Brian's DRs - are actually exactly that way, so it IS REWARDED.)
Like, @vay+1iJY32oc, I just keep my head down and my mouth shut. (not easy)
And give them no legit cause to fire me. Plus, they change so often, I can just wait them all out. until the next a**wipe.
I just do my job managing risk in what I do. I don’t pay attention to the people that don’t know.
