John Mackey said about GenZ "Its also the Kids these days. They don't seem like they want to work" Are we talking about all of the young kids at WF who seem to be the majority of the TM who created the sales and profit so you "John" could retire with plenty of money and pursue your next plan in life. Are we talking about all of these young kids "John" who worked through the pandemic, putting their lives at risk, so you could "John" find meaning from some guru. After this comment does anyone really believe the rhetoric that WF spews about how much they care and appreciate our hard work. And yes; pleases do not participate in the Culture Compass. It is meaningless. He also said that the Military is being taken over by the Socialists; and any Team Members with a Military connection should be appalled and shaken by such a comment. Now that he is retiring the truth comes out that all of what John has said about how much he cares about TM is just a lie so he can stuff his own pockets with our hard work; as he rides off into his Vegan sunset; a hollow man.

I think what John Mackey is missing is the fact that Get Z TMs are working during unprecedented times for WFM. Never before have detailed performance metrics (INF, OOS, productivity quotas) taken lead over culture. Gainsharing used to be the powerful motivator that drove productivity and contributed to TM growth and happiness. He's also missing the fact that everyone is doing the work of two and sometimes three TMs because every store is way unstaffed due to the unfavorable conditions. If anything Gen Z is the generation that will stand up and say they aren't settling for robot culture.
