Major layoffs coming

The bank isn’t doing well. They are going to force people out. Get ready for a similar culture during chucks time…

It’s bizarre… everybody here whining about non-existent layoffs even as they work slowly in hopes of an escape package. if this doesn’t cry out for H1B hiring only in Operations, what does? It just demonstrates that Todd treating people with respect, dignity and job security over the past 3 years wasn’t even noticed let alone appreciated.

Charlie tried layoffs, Todd chose kindness and job security and neither one worked. It’s just our slacker culture. Robin needs to go heavy on H1B hires in operations cause technology sure hasn’t worked.

Not doing well? You mean we'll only make 900 million dollars this quarter instead of the usual billion dollars? We're doing fine but it won't stop our shortsighted leadership from thinking they can do things cheaper in third world countries.

Layoffs are coming, but that’s a constant. “Major” layoffs? I don’t think we can afford that. People are already doing the jobs of 2 people in too many cases. Doesn’t leave a lot of room to cut more.

They are only laying off people making good money, if that. If you are a peon, no worries.

Wait…

What if we tried Organic Growth? It might solve our problems.

Stock price in the hopper again. I guess Marty McGuinn was right about BNYM management.

I agree, but I am also confused. My feeling is telling me exactly.

But news and govt are saying we are doing great, 11.2 Billion new jobs and not enough workers. We will need more foreign labor programs to solve the labor shortage.

What is going on? Is it just me, my field, or is it everyone?

Take it from someone who was recently laid off, they are happening. If your team is not affected you one of the lucky ones.

I think that everybody is safe. No significant layoffs whatsoever since August 2018 under Charlie. Note that I said “significant”… you have to work pretty hard at not working to get tossed, and even then you’re doing it because as we all know the package is a goal.

I don’t believe it. They say the same thing several times a year. Yawn. And, yes- I expect a gargantuan amount of dislikes LMAO!

You got that right! Complain about RTO too much, you are out. Deadlines missed, see ya. Make a big enough mistake? Too bad, you are done.

Someone pretty high up in Operations is going to have to take the fall. I don’t think RV can take the reins and not take some sort of action.
