Thread regarding Mutual of America Life layoffs

The rumors are devastating, and we have been deceived.

There have already been 2 big layoffs in 2024 — how can employees even focus or feel motivated to go to the office under these circumstances? Mr. Rich, it is essential to be transparent and communicate clearly about any upcoming layoffs or provide assurances, so employees can plan for their futures. Many employees rely on their jobs to support their families, pay bills, afford medical treatments, mortgages, and other critical expenses.
Please don’t dismiss these concerns by suggesting we were comfortable. After the first layoff in March, and even more so after Greed's departure, we understood the company’s real challenges. While the severance package is reasonable, the current job market remains difficult, adding to the anxiety and uncertainty employees are already facing.
We have been deceived!!!!!

They are laying off employees so they can give big pay hikes to the remaining VPs and Executive VPs. It's an elaborate Ponzi Scheme. Read Michael Lewis LIARS Poker or HOUSE OF CARDS. It's modern day Mutual of America. P-H-U-C-K-Y-O-U Greedy Rich

So Mutual is laying off workers to fund real estate development.

Good luck with your real estate venture, Steve Rich!

Correction, The new planned buliding is at at 1150 Northwest Broken Sound Parkway, NOT 1150 Broken Sound:

Why not.

That will be replaced with 1150 Broken Sound which includes a seven-story, 158,000-square-foot office building and a six-story garage to be built on the remainder of the site and replace the existing office building, according to the application. The seven-story office building is already approved, and Mutual of America has applied for a building permit. I believe they will locate there when completed.

Company eliminated about 36 GAR positions and 15 PAR positions recently. Clown RVPs with no customer service experience are now on the front lines learning Omni which is a 3 year learning curve. Many CRMs who knew Omni were fired to make room for these RVPs who should have been canned a long time ago cause they could sell schit. It is despicable and shameful the greedy rich deception.

Like the saying goes:

"Those who can do. Those who can't: work at Mutual of America."

The previous comments about the "Office Locator" is spot on. If you pull that list, 50% of those individuals no longer work for the company.

With the most recent round of layoffs, what kind of severin-ence package was offered ?

Ready for a third layoff ?
Would that be part of the total revenue loss

How much were the Severin-ence packages for those who were recently fired ? Could anyone care to elaborate.

Technology was never their strong point. But you think they would at least get that corrected. What a sad, unfunny joke.

Does anyone know whether the clients included at the website under the section “What our clients are saying” continue to be clients?

The Mutual website still lists as current offices the offices now closed and the staff recently fired under the “Office Locator” link. Guess updating the website is harder than firing people and closing offices.
