I’m a VP level, individual contributor, working for a global team but the only one in my time zone. I’ve been coffee badging for a long time and working the 3 hours a day when the rest of the team is online but outside those hours I simply relax at home. All in all it’s been about good few years of doing pretty much nothing and getting paid for it. Better still I get told that I’m a top performer and will go far in the bank. From the stories I hear from other teams, I question how I can get away with my current situation without getting laid off and whether there are others like me? Am I just flying under the radar? I know the good times probably won’t last forever so I am planning to look for an exit this year (also so I don’t professionally stagnate) but jeez it’s been a weird few years.
