Just putting this in here since no announcement ahead of time is planned. To my knowledge, this will be Treasury Services wide. Not sure about other sides of the bank. Highly disappointing since it’ll feel like a rat race to get a seat in the office with how overcrowded we already are.

It isn't all staff that are required to go into the office 4 days per week, just anyone who has people reporting into them and that is when P-M comes in on W/C 24th March. I don't believe ALL staff will have to do 4 days and will stay on 3.
Will there be room for everyone, as in, enough workstations? Plus, it's getting to the point now that using the restroom is like halftime at a football game, always a line.
Meanwhile the top TS exec is “based at home”. I say that person should move to NYC full time or their role is eliminated.
People are working in the office? All I hear is gossiping and all I see is slacking whenever I’m in the office.
They hide it your email inbox dude…
@d5 - Don't be too upset. Those of us based at home will be gone by the end of the year. Except of course for Managing Directors and above, as rules do not apply to them.
Fun and games are over. Back to work and adulthood children…
Get back to office fn crybabies
How about all those that are 'Based at Home'. It doesn't seem right that some people can wfh whilst the rest of us are forced back to the office 4 days a week.
I hate working here!
A manager here….. I and my fellow manager peers were told by our director on Monday to start being in 4 full days a week. And also, any team leaders we have should ‘start’ to do so by Feb. 17. Not only that, the one WFH day we have, we managers are not expected to have 2 of us or more WFH on those days. We will revolve coverage. Meaning we are not stuck with the day we have. As for the so called ‘flex’ staff, they will also be expected to be in 4 days a week late March - Mid April. We will first see how the reductions free up space and go from there. Anyone not following this without approved reasons by us, our director and HR will be terminated for cause. We were told - ‘It is your responsibility to report to your work site on time and per the requirement’.
Just saw a position on LinkedIn for 240G location that says candidates should expect to be in office 4 days/week if hired.
Agreed. “People” managers were informed that they had to return 4 days per week as of 1/26. Staff will be notified at the end of February that they have to return 4 days starting the beginning of April. Unfortunately space will not be an issue after the early Feb mass layoff coming. Those left will have plenty of room to spread out.
Original poster here, my manager told my team today about this upcoming change for ALL employees. Manager roll out is still Jan 26th, for everyone else it will be 4 days a week starting sometime in March or April. This is fresh information, that’s why I don’t have an exact time and thought I’d put a warning out incase no one else has heard yet. Manager gave their team the warning as soon as they knew so we had time to adjust our schedules in the coming months. Manager also doesn’t expect a email to go in a reasonable amount of time since BNY has a history to not give a reasonable notice. Yes, I’m aware some buildings will be over capacity, my building will be at 125% capacity but BNY doesn’t care. BNY clearly stopped caring a while ago. That’s all I got. Good luck to you all.
When will this be announced?
The 4 day announcement was sent to in scope managers. If you are not a manager, then you didn’t get it since it doesn’t apply to you!
Won’t happen there isn’t enough space
It’s funny how we have to go to the office but all of the TS leaders are remote.
I never got a firm wide announcement
There was an announcement about managers needing to be in 4 days a week.
Interesting that you mentioned there’s no announcement planned. Much like there was no firmwide announcement about Managers Having to come in four days a week… They are quietly increasing this nonsense requirement.
