Thread regarding Mutual of America Life layoffs

Salesforce is Ki-ling Us

Marc Benioff is a con artist. He has conned companies into buying into the Salesforce Grape Kool Aid. MOA bought his schit to the tune of millions of dollars spent each year ? What has it gotten us ? Lost clients, poor customer service, and over 25 people working in house on Salesforce alone. We spend over $5M a year on Salesforce and it occupies our employees with 35% of their time. It hasn't increased sales. It hasn't helped service. That, combined with FIS has dug a grave 6 feet under right between Tom Moran and Bill Flynn who must be rolling in their graves. The best thing that could happen is for MOA to collect on the insurance money once the Eaton fire heads east and invades midtown. Get rid of Salesforce. Get rid of FIS aka (F+U+C+K Information Services. Speaking of Fire. Fire all the Field Executive VPs. They have no skills and are useless.

The Field Executive VPs lack basic skills. They all had trouble with basic technology. None of the understand what a PAR or CRM really does. Most were GARS many years ago, and they don't truly understand. They all have low IQ. They demand complete loyalty but don't hardly use Salesforce themselves. It's a double standard. That's why they should all be canned.

My favorite thing about salesforce is that even after the company spent millions of dollars to implement this software, Tryone Golatt still had every PAR & GAR in his territory manually filling out & emailing a word document every Friday tallying up the number of meetings, calls, sales, etc. for the week.

I would routinely be out meeting with clients on a Friday afternoon, trying to drum up every penny I could on behalf of MOA, and my secretary would forward hostile & frantic emails from Tyrone demanding to know why he hadn't received the precious weekly reports from every office yet. The answer, of course, was that the week wasn't over, and we were still meeting with clients and working on building up our numbers. I would then have to pause my client meetings to fill-in the word document & email it to my secretary, who would then have to compile everyone's stats in the office for the weekly update.

Again, this was after spending millions of dollars on salesforce software that specifically tracks this information. Apparently the EFVPs & RVPs weren't capable of learning how to run reports, so they had to waste the time of every salesperson in their territory with pointless busywork.

I left the company in 2020 because it was clear that the leadership that took over in 2016/2017 was completely incompetent and unethical. I never could've imagined that they would run the company this far into the ground so quickly. Every single person hired/promoted by Brian Severin, and by extension Tyrone Golatt, ought to be immediately fired, if they haven't already. Just sheer incompetence & fraud.

Salesforce is a waste of money. Mutual doesn't even use it to send out participant surveys. We spend millions on it each year but it is not utilized properly. Get rid of it and the 50% of the time we spend doing stupid data entry and get out in front of clients instead. The Microsoft CRM is much better, cheaper, and integrates well. Plus, you could save a couple of million and 15 jobs.
