Anyone know the limit on how far they can make you commute? The office is currently 10 miles from me but they’re moving our office to more than 40 miles away from my home (it’s 30 miles from the current office). Will I be forced to make this move?

It was 50 in our group (pre-Covid).
I recall it being 50-60 miles.
We were asked to do a quick “ show of hands” if you Would or Would Not be willing to travel locally or relocate for a role. ( distance of travel was not indicated)
HECK NO. And if I choose to, that would be MY decision.
It probably was 30 miles once a decade ago but would not surprise me if they made it 50 or 60 miles which of course is completely unacceptable.
I was told by upper management that it was 50 miles, after I formally asked for a severance package due to relocation… these comments have me thinking I was either lied to, or it’s different depending on region or which way the wind blows. Wish someone from HR would chime in.
60 miles is the limit
Any advice as to where I could look up this policy?
My commute is more than 50 miles and I never knew about the 50 mile limit
Will there be an option for severance? I was told 30 miles. But is it really 50?
They trying to make you leave on your own so they don’t have to give you a package.
It’s 50 miles, which is ridiculous.
take the package. and the severance too.
