@dc+1 So glad i'm not the only one who thinks this.
ST - the diva of Manchester
@an+1jj51v309 It was trustee and depo services and some roles that support them (if I’m remembering correctly). Guessing they will get a smaller premises, not sure how many staff there are in there.
Trustee and depositary staying in Edinburgh, remaining depts (mostly TA as I understand it) roles moving to Manchester
Very cold and brutally delivered in Wexford. No emotion from the CEO, 6 minutes is all it took. No opportunity for questions, he didn’t get a nice reaction unsurprisingly
Which function in Edinburgh is not impacted? If the office is going to close how can they not be impacted (unless you mean they can all work from home).
Edinburgh - In a room that didn’t have enough capacity. People squeezed in down the sides and standing out the doors. Script read delivering details on the functions (all but one group/department by the sounds of it) impacted. Emails to be delivered by end of day if you were impacted. Seems these arrived at varying times but supposed to be at a specific times. Consultations start from next week. Reps to be chosen this week.
Pretty inhumane even for BNY.
Almost every other peer company sees Edinburgh and their staff as an asset - but BNY don’t because Manchester’s cheaper. Hear strategic, think cheaper option.
CT Wexford, no confirmation on anything other than site closing, seems like manchester is being pushed as relocation spot for anyone they can force to move, bent us over in the board room to tell us that
