Weird situation, I was on vacation for a couple weeks than I heard they fired one of my team members for not meeting the 60% in office workdays. I knew I was next as when I looked at my teams calender the same HR lady who fired my team member requested a meeting with me the moment I returned "please work remote that day" (showed up on my calender)
I return from my 2.5 week hiatus using my vacation hours. HR lady calls me in a teams call, asks why have I have not been showing up to the office. I tried to defend myself and she said "you will be fired, log off immediately."
Than when I applied for unemployment I was on the call with an agent saying BNY claimed I quit. (after a 6 week unemployment investigation) I was shocked to hear that. But technically since they claimed I quit after a long vacation and not really communicating with my boss when I would return, its not the same as being fired for misconduct. So I got approved for unemployment.
