When I compare the current BofA and the original culture that this place once had, it is almost incomparable. Do you remember how it used to be? Sad how quickly this place is changing for the worse.

You miss all the kool -aid sessions they used to have about how great this bank is and how you should make it your life? You must be the same guy that took U2’s song One and turned it into a song about BofA lol get a grip things change
@2eyu+1jjqKNeC - originally hired by the old BofA in SF, acquired by NationsBank (which suc*ed) than then acquired (and was then slowly devoured by) #fleetbostonmafia, which puts us to where we are today and sux worse.
Original culture of what? Fleet? The original BofA in San Francisco? Nations Bank? One of the other acquisitions? Better than Wells, I guess.
They don’t want to hear what you have to say, nor have any clue what you are asking them. They have their one agenda and that is IT.
But if you are of African American descent they will listen to every single thing you have to say whether it’s right or not. Because, hey, we are diverse.
This company has no standards on who they hire in leadership roles. I have seen leaders with barely a high school education get roles they shouldn't have. This company is a complete SHLITHOLE of a bank. This company is run by a bunch of ruthless Boston white collars thugs. I am very disappointed to be associated with this inept company.
@1vnt+1jjqKNeC - spot on! BofA has become very Orwellian, hasn't it?
Never occurred to me (too busy doing my job), but you're right.
Orwellian: ... "denotes an attitude and a brutal policy of draconian control by propaganda, surveillance, disinformation, denial of truth (doublethink), and manipulation of the past, including the "unperson". All true!
Even as a high performer, this latest policy and memo made me feel like an "unperson".
The original culture you reference from the past was back in a time when you had to have real education and qualifications to be hired and succeed at BOA. Now it is a joke. I see people with SVP and Director titles that came here with only a high school diploma and when they open their mouths you can easily see what incompetent id--ts they are. No standards apply now for leadership roles.
Ah yes, who can forget the Core Values propaganda campaign? Straight Orwellian double-speak. Once profits resumed, creepy Frankenstein revived from the dead.
The brainy, wonky types that saved the bank from the trash heap of disaster exited stage right long ago. Fast approaching Great Recession 2.0? Good luck. #fleetbostonmafia
BofA stated Core Values:
- Deliver together
- Act responsibly
- Realize the power of our people
- Trust the team
Management’s interpretation as demonstrated by their actions and falsehoods:
- Deliver for ourselves
- Act dictatorially
- Crush our people
- Sc--w the team
I agree. I’m looking to get out after 16 years.
I really agree with you on how this place has change. The leadership we have now is very incompetent and I blame that on the people that hired these azz holes. I really don't care anymore about this place. My immediate managers are clueless and can't do anything to help you. This place is just one big disaster.
