I'm hearing rumours of some people being told they're in line for wfh contracts and some people know their end dates but my team are still in the dark. Why don't they let everyone know together?

Some people have answers because they aligned with the right reporting line…… can easily tell who the ones staying are.
Great point on news stories. Locally it was (and still is) being reported as BNY Mellon.
Yes the consultation period is ongoing so why do some people have answers and some don't?
The comments about relocating to Manchester is neither helpful or realistic, I'd suggest dont commenting at all if you're going to spout shlte. We are really people here being told our jobs are going. It's frustrating when all we're hearing is office whispers and nothing concrete. If consultation period isn't ended until March then nobody should know if they're wfh or if their role is moving or if they're getting the option to relocate.
The consultation process is going so so.
It seems like it's being managed very well by the folks from the pale (for BNY and not staff):
- why are they deliberately hands-off in terms of broad communication to staff, done to sow division?
- new signs erected after the announcement, anyone who thinks this wasn't planned to avoid a negative news story being associated with the new branding is naive
Is consultation anything more than 'tick the box'?
You can see from the numbers shared there is based at home for some teams - if you don’t already know it’s you, then it’s not going to be you….
Wfh contracts? If you get that, it means you are going to expire like an old pie very soon. This place is going 5 days in the office. Wfh is the kiss of death.
you think the wfh is permanent? this is a temporary solution so there is no short term business disruption. the best option is relocate to manchester or take the severance and be on your way
