Permanent Work From Home

I heard that any employees that have some form of exception will be asked back with a 90 day period in March. If non compliant the position will close out. Also 4 days a week is coming soon for all employees.

Is it wrong of me to wish for another pandemic? Where employees stand up and say - sorry we can't work from home coz you won't allow it.

What sort of exceptions. If it is a medical accommodation they have to prove undo hardship. Since they let all groups that could work from home during COVID, they would have a hard time proving its a hardship. As for people with travel issues, that may be a different story.

Here we go again - the return to office crying. Holy sh!t - you did it before covid, now your vacation is over. I can’t wait for it to be 5 days a week. Let’s see if all you whiny b!tches quit like you say you will. You people are such losers!

Nope. Wrong again. I have been hybrid (2 to 3 days in office) for about 15 years.

I would feel a lot better about being in the office if the people I worked with were there, too, but they are all overseas. Who am I collaborating with? The empty cubicle behind me, or next to me?

98 miles a day roundtrip 5 days a week? No, thank you.

I’ll believe it when I see it. There are several dozen MDs and Ds with special arrangements, including one of RVs directs.

The people who make these decisions to RTO full time, live in apartments across the street from the job. Try traveling 2 hours one way to go to work for a few years, and then make that decision!

BNY would tell you Blockbuster video is a great collaborative investment. You get to drive, spend tine, use gas, incur risks and go to a physical place and collaborate with old videos and store employees. Woweee!!!! Netflix? Nah, you dont need that!!! Ya gotta be out there and physically collaborating!!! Remote ability and instant access be damned! Banks like BNY and JPMC are run by Easter Island heads made of gold.

It is going to be hilarious when companies that want good resident talent start to use WFH as a hiring benefit. This place and other big banks will be forced to reverse course quickly or perish. The only ones that benefit from full RTO are these obsolete leftist run broke and bankrupt blue cities. Along with their crumbling infrastructure, commuter taxes, tolls, corrupt and broken mass transit systems and the ridiculous restaurant costs. The banks have a sweet relationship with these politicians and the court protections that these jurisdictions provide. Sorry Jamie D and Bobbin’ Robin, the genie is out of the bottle. Civilization is moving beyond cities and commuting. And we collaborate just fine virtually.
