Any tea on future of Digital Assets?

There was a leadership change recently and don’t see the point of two people trying to “lead Digital”. I’d put money on the new horse considering the old one is tired of running and beating around the bush all the while dreamin $$$ up (none of which have actually hit PnL. And adds tons of their meaningless talk air…

What’s the future of this group that’s full of senior management. It’s either kids outta college or so many directors one forgets to keep count. Truly curious what has this group delivered to warrant the cushiness when rest of the bank resembles a sla-ghterhouse?!? The current leader was at RRs town hall (again does he invite randos who only do talking without any real dime to show?) No one from AI or related depts get this kinda treatment. Really baffling …

The current lot barely understands crypto, digital, or product. They’re just milking the cash cow because they wouldn’t land a job anywhere else with their inflated bulge bracket salaries. Last I had intel on this, the average base pay in this group was easily north of $200K—for what? Churning out recycled pitch decks with zero clients.

Capital planning is a joke—just an excuse to burn through cash on projects that get hyped up, torn down, and repackaged every few quarters, like some third-hand hand-me-down. The only real money-making operation here is engineering, billing this group ridiculous amounts for resources they barely utilize. Honestly, if they cut this group in half, no one would notice or care.

Some loudmouth old-timer you can hear across the Atlantic, who talks a big game to clients but has zero wins under his belt.
The notorious sociopath (God help DT**—you have no idea what’s coming) who, after shoving another sociopath dude up the ladder, has somehow gamed her way to promotions without delivering a dime of revenue. HR complaints are piling up, but CB still protects this toxic crew. And let’s not even start on how she’s a terrible example of DEI—this is exactly why bad representation ruins it for the deserving ones.
The engineering guy, who fast-tracked his promotion by shameless bootlicking—though, to be fair, he’s probably the only one who actually did any real work.
The other Indian guy, whose purpose remains a mystery, aside from protecting his bros from India. Why they even operate out of 240 is baffling—everything they do could be done from Pune or Chennai at a fraction of the cost.
Classic bulge bracket nonsense.

The old mare’s lot are legging it because they know the new mare will actually hold them to account—for delivering a grand total of nothing over the last five years. Old mare’s so-called “employee number one” has bailed to DT-SEE SEE, and good riddance—an absolute persona non grata, this one. A well-documented sociopath, right-hand to the current “head,” spent their time swanning around conferences and sitting in vague GTM meetings that led to exactly zero results. Never once brought a single initiative over the line. Not one. And the old mare never pulled them up on it.

This whole gang is a closed shop of former JPs, all hiring each other into fancy titles and perfecting the “art of the (fluff) deal.” If you went back and actually looked at the update decks or their so-called body of work, you’d see it plain as day—the current head’s entire game is just recycling the same sh--e over and over, repackaged to look fresh.
