I don’t think Eliza is 100% useless as you can ask it simple questions you already know the answers to and she may get it right 🤣. I do think BNY is in a race to over leverage this whole thing and I don’t see it ending particularly well

I hear that ELIZA was just named BNY employee of the year, named Chief Digital Employee, promoted to Managing Director and given $10 million in stock options.
Actually RV is wrong. Alexander Hamilton’s wife was named Elizabeth. Their daughter was named Eliza. What can you expect from someone who is ignorant of history and our founding fathers. As for being the first digital employee, will Eliza get be put on PIP when it is proven to be a tur-d? Will Eliza get sent packing? Will we get 8 Elavarasi’s from AI Pune to replace Eliza???

@a4, metaverse is not nearly as transformational as Zuck thought but AI is way more transformational than most people realize. Especially if you train it on data you know is true instead of the misinformation things like MS copilot are trained on. Garbage in, garbage out. But you can still use it to get information quickly, you just need to navigate to the real answer like you do with a simple google search. I use copilot quite a bit to ask questions about github code and it really increases my productivity.
Even the name is ripped off from the first natural language processing model. From 1966.

Agree 100%. Just like ‘free coffee’ , this thing is a gimmick, a fake, a lie, a grift as you say. It checks the ‘feel good’ box. Eliza is about as useful as Hugh Hefner’s sausage.
Most of this AI stuff is a giant grift. It’s just the current tool companies are using to boost stock price. Metaverse BS failed so now we’re on to AI. At least this is tangible and could someday be something special. But for the foreseeable future it’s just a talking point
